Golliwog's Cakewalk is a character created by Claude Debussy for his daughter Chou Chou. He composed a set of piano works entitled Children's Corner for her. Golliwog is Debussy's interpretation of American jazz of the early 1900's. It is playful, angular, and rhythmic. If one looks closely, one can see the character Golliwog in my work.
